Parent-Child Fundraiser Clinics

Hello Coaches and Parents,

This past May and June we typically run our Mother/Child and Father/Child Clinic. But at that time we were in Phase 3 and unable to run the event. We were very disappointed because we know how much parents look forward to participating with their child. I was personally disappointed because it is one of my favorite events of the year getting to spend time with parents and their children on the court.

We are very excited to partner with the Oak Brook Park District to offer a Parent-Child Fundraiser Event on Sunday August 16th.

Here are the details:
Sunday August 16th at the Oak Brook Park District

  • 8:30-9:30am Mother/Son 3rd-5th grade
  • 9:45-10:45am Mother/Son 6th-8th grade
  • 11:00-12:00pm Mother/Daughter 4th-8th grade
  • 12:15-1:15pm Father/Daughter 4th-8th grade
  • 1:30-2:30pm Father/Son 3rd-5th grade
  • 2:45-3:45pm Father/Son 6th-8th grade
  • COST: $25/couple- All dollars will be donated to the Oak Brook Park District Foundation which is supporting Universal Recreation. No child should be left on the sidelines. Oak Brook Park District took this to heart and created Universal Recreation - an inclusive environment for all individuals of the community to play side by side with one another.

The clinic will consist of the following and obviously both Parent and Child will be expected to fully participate.

  • - Parent- Child Single Ball Dribbling Progression
  • - Parent- Child Partner Shooting Challenges
  • - Parent-Child 2 on 2 King/Queen of the Court Games
  • - 3 ON 3 Full Court- Short Court Parent- Child Games
  • This is a chance to experience a Breakaway workout and to do it alongside one of the most special people in your life.

For this event maximum capacity will be 20 sets of Parent-Child combinations per group. We will continue to follow Phase 4 Youth Guidelines.

There will be strict rules such as:

  • -No spectators
  • -Masks must be worn by everyone upon entry and exit of the facility
  • -All participants must bring their own ball
  • -All participants must bring their own water
  • If you want in on this great day I will need the following: An email sent to jen@breakawaybasketball.com stating the names of the Parent-Child Combination, the incoming grade of the child, and which time slot you are requesting.

Just because you email Jen does not mean you are in the clinic. When this email goes out her Inbox will be flooded so its first come first serve and then the waitlist will be made. We will return every email stating if you are IN or on the waitlist.

This is another way at Breakaway that we just want to say thank you and I hope everyone involved understands how much we love what we get to do everyday.

If you have any questions please let us know!
